Five for Friday

Today there are so many things on my mind…

1. My baby girl got the 2 month vaccination shots yesterday
It broke and still breaks my heart. She was crying for 10minutes right after she got the shots and she never cries! This was already painful for me to watch, but she calmed down and was ok in the afternoon, she was quiet, but content. For some reason she didn’t sleep at all for the rest of the afternoon. In the evening we did our usual night routine and she fell asleep. Around 1am she started to whine in her sleep. I woke her up at 4:30am and 7am to feed and she ate normal but fell asleep right after. She is still sleeping…

2. Before the shots yesterday we did some Zumbini!
Some of the moms in the mommy group meet for a private Zumbini class, it was so much fun! Zoe was the youngest baby but actually was awake the whole class and had a blast! Zumbini is basically Zumba for babies (0-3 years). We sang, danced and played instruments!

3. I did some yoga!
I tried the yoga class at my gym this week and I liked it. It was hard though and I was sore! I’m usually not a big yoga fan, but I understand yoga is really good for runners. I didn’t LOVE it, but I can imagine to go back. I wish they would have stretched a little more, this session was more focused on strength. I want to try next week again and see if the instructor switches things up.

4. Thinking about you…
My best friend lives far away and has currently a really difficult situation to deal with. I know in a few months she will be ok, but right now life is tough for her. I try to support her as much as I can from so far away. I just wish I could be there and hug her and cry with her and get drunk with her…It’s painful to see a friend dealing with a difficult situation…

5. Picnic in the park
Earlier this week some mommies from my mommy group met at a local park for a lunch picnic. Every Tuesday they have musicians there during lunch and make some music. The weather was nice and we had a very relaxing and good time!

    I just did a 5 Friday post too. :D

    Poor Zoe! And poor you for having to watch. I hope she is feeling better!

    My PT and running coach both always said I needed to do Yoga too. It really has great benefits. I just get a little bored.

    Oh yoga is the BEST for runners. I swear by it. I’m fortunate our gym’s instructor focuses more on stretching it seems. I like to also do my own personal routine night before a race.

    Yay for a picnic at the park — so fun! My LO sleep a TON after her 2mo shots too! Enjoy it! :)

    glad you are finding some ways to balance workout time and baby time. And you are staying busy meeting other moms, which is great!

    What a cutie Zoe is! I had a picnic at the park yesterday. Listening to the birds chirp and the frogs croak (we were at a lake) added to the fun.
